在職場上,我們少不免與同事和上司發生衝突,當時的你又是如何處理的呢?學者把衝突管理策略(Conflict management style)分為五類,包括競爭(Competing)、合作(Collaborating)、妥協(Compromising)、逃避(Avoiding)和讓步(Accommodating)。

1. 競爭(Competing)

使用競爭型策略的人在處理衝突時,他們會堅持己見,不願意作出任何改變,直至對方讓步。雖然這種策略有助推動重要政策,但是有機會會損害人際關係,並打擊員工士氣。因此,我們不宜長期依賴競爭型策略解決衝突。

2. 合作(Collaborating)

合作型策略是指顧及雙方的需要,尋求大家亦滿意的方案,達至雙贏的局面。這種策略長遠來說當然是最佳的解決方法,但同時需要長時間實行,對於一些逼切的情況未必適合使用。

3. 妥協(Compromising)

妥協型策略是指雙方在衝突中願意各退一步,尋求一個中間點進行協商。若然合作型策略未能成功解決衝突,這個時候就可以嘗試妥協型策略去處理一些複雜的問題。

4. 逃避(Avoiding)

使用逃避型策略的人害怕處理衝突,他們希望透過拖延時間和轉移話題的方法去逃避衝突。對於一些無關痛癢的事情,逃避型策略可能是較好的解決方法,但是對於一些較緊急的問題,就不太適合了。

5. 讓步(Accommodating)

採用讓步型策略的人害怕面對衝突,他們往往會馬上讓步,以求立刻結束衝突。雖然這種策略有助建立良好關係,但是亦會抹殺了解決問題的其他可能性。

其實,世界上沒有一種衝突管理策略可於任何情況下使用。我們應先思考衝突的情況,再使用相應的策略,相信便能舒緩一部分的衝突。
